Terms & EULA

These Terms and End User License Agreement ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Syntax Circus, LLC ("we," "us," and "our") governing your use of The Button app and related services.

Eligibility and license

You must be at least 13 years old to use The Button. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the app for its intended purpose. The app is licensed, not sold.

Acceptable use and community safety

The Button is a shared social experience. Do not submit content or use the service in a way that is objectionable, abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or invasive of another person's privacy. Do not attempt to interfere with the service, evade safety controls, or misuse purchases or refunds.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We may filter or remove content, limit features, reverse affected presses when a purchase is reversed, suspend or permanently block access, and cooperate with lawful requests. Purchases and refunds

Consumable in-app purchases unlock one immediate, visible press action. Where offered, a message purchase unlocks the same action with an optional moderated message. Purchases are not donations, tips, or fundraising.

Payment processing, cancellations, and refunds are handled by the applicable app store and its terms. A refund, chargeback, cancellation, or other purchase reversal may reverse the related press. Repeated refund or chargeback abuse may result in restricted or permanently blocked access.

Availability and disclaimer

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limits on liability

To the extent permitted by law, Syntax Circus, LLC and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, use, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from or related to the service. Our total liability for a claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the service during the 12 months before the claim or US$100.

Changes and termination

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. If you do not agree to an update, stop using the service. You may stop using the app at any time and can delete your profile as described in our Privacy Policy.

Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Utah. Questions or notices should be sent to support@syntaxcircus.com.
