Moderation & Data Rights

The Button has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. The service is for people age 13 and older.

How moderation works

Optional messages are screened before they are shared. We use automated tools and human review to identify content that may violate our rules. Automated tools can make mistakes, and human review helps us investigate reported or uncertain content.

We may hide or remove a message while keeping the confirmed press in the shared streak. Depending on the circumstances, we may restrict features, reverse an affected purchase, or block a profile temporarily or permanently.

Report, block, and appeal

From the app's History screen, you can report a message and block its author. Reporting hides the message from you while we review it; blocking prevents that author's content from appearing for you. Reports are reviewed daily. For urgent safety concerns or an appeal, email support@syntaxcircus.com.

Your data rights

You can manage notifications in Settings. You can also delete your profile in Settings or request deletion using a one-time code on the web. For a privacy question or applicable data-rights request, contact support@syntaxcircus.com.

Deletion removes profile-linked information as described in our Privacy Policy. We retain limited anonymized or de-linked records when necessary to preserve shared streak history, handle purchases or disputes, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations.
